Who are we?
Stephanie Carr has numerous years of experience in education having taught high school general education and co-taught classes for over 10 years in Baltimore City and Anne Arundel County. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism, a teacher’s certification in Secondary Education- Social Studies, and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Stephanie is also certified as a dyslexia advocate from the Dyslexia Training Institute. Stephanie has spent the last 15 years raising three children, all with various disabilities, and is a founding member of Decoding Dyslexia-Howard County. Stephanie has also served on the Howard County Secac board for several years.
Andrea Jones also spent many years in secondary education. Andrea holds a bachelors degree in secondary education, psychology and teaching reading. She taught for several years in Baltimore County and at the Kennedy Krieger Upper School. Andrea left the classroom to raise her three children. While she was home she continued to work in education by tutoring children with learning disabilities. Andrea also taught GED classes and ESL classes at Anne Arundel Community College.
